The Audubon School Approved for EFA Program Funding

We are excited to announce that The Audubon School has been officially approved by the Arkansas Department of Education to receive funding through the LEARNS Act / Education Freedom Account (EFA) Program.

This program provides eligible families with access to public funds that can be used toward private or independent school tuition, making a high-quality education at The Audubon School more accessible than ever before.

IMPORTANT DATES

Beginning March 3, 2025, the application portal will open for participation in the 2025–2026 EFA Program.For more information on eligibility and how to apply, please visit the Arkansas Department of Education website.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOUR STUDENT?

The LEARNS Act / Education Freedom Account (EFA) program allows families of eligible students to use public funds to help cover the cost of private or independent school education. For the 2025–2026 school year, each eligible student may receive up to $6,995 toward tuition and approved educational expenses.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOUR STUDENT IS ELIGIBLE?

For the 2025–2026 school year, all students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible for the program, provided that at least one parent or guardian is a resident of Arkansas. To qualify for Kindergarten, children must be five years old by August 1.

COMPLETE AN APPLICATION

To determine if your student qualifies for EFA funding, you must complete an application through the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) as soon as possible.When applying for the first time, please be prepared to submit the following required documents:

 

1. Proof of the student’s date of birth – This can include a birth certificate, passport, Medicaid card, immunization record, or an official school document (such as a report card) that lists the student’s date of birth.

 

2. Proof of Arkansas residency – Acceptable documents include an Arkansas driver’s license, voter registration card, tax return, utility bill, mortgage statement, lease agreement, or any official document that confirms a current Arkansas address.
